Murray’s Fur Shop was officially opened its Boston location in 1927 by my uncle, Murray, and my mother, Bessie, after it took them almost two years to save the money for the official business license. That license still hangs on our wall today.
My mother ran the business and her brother was the salesman. What they needed was a good furrier. Well, they found the best when a man called Jack came on board. My father and mother fell in love, and three children, three grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and 93 years later, we’re still here!
